Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are made to replace multiple missing teeth. This is
accomplished by making a removable prosthesis that connects all of the missing
teeth together on a metal or resin structure. This prosthesis can also be made
from a combination of both materials.
There are different kinds of metals available fabricate the removable
prosthesis which gives different qualities.

Plastic partial dentures are less expensive to make. But unless they are
designed very carefully they can damage the teeth they fit against. Metal
partial dentures are usually from an alloy of cobalt and chromium and they are
much stronger. They are lighter to wear and can be supported by the remaining
teeth. Although the base is metal, they have gum-colored plastic and
natural-looking teeth fixed to them. They are more expensive than the plastic
ones.

ValplastŪ
ValplastŪ is a thermoplastic nylon with excellent elastic memory and
outstanding aesthetic qualities. The unique translucency of the material allows
the patients natural tissue tone to show through, making ValplastŪ virtually
invisible to the untrained eye. The strength and durability of ValplastŪ is
unmatched, and the material is guaranteed for life against breakage under normal
wear and tear conditions.
